Najít Technologies, Inc. (NTI) was founded in 2004 as a spin-off company to commercialize technology developed at the Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. The company's focus is the development of rapid diagnostic assays and vaccines for emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, many of which possess bioterrorism potential.

We have developed two technology platforms to address these markets:

SABRE

The company utilizes a proprietary discovery system called SABRE (Systematic Analysis of Biologically Relevant Epitopes) to identify optimal epitopes on proteins associated with infectious agents. These target molecules can be used to develop rapid point-of-care diagnostic assays capable of identifying infected individuals in suspected outbreaks or bioterrorist attacks.

HydroVax™

NTI utilizes a novel vaccine production system that results in superior inactivated vaccine formulations for infectious disease as compared to conventional methods. HydroVax™ vaccines:
  1. can replace attenuated live vaccines for immunizing against infectious disease, thus reducing the chance for serious adverse events in vaccinated individuals.
  2. can preserve important immunologic epitopes, including neutralizing epitopes in a manner that is superior to conventional methods.
  3. are amenable to preservative-free vaccine formulations.
Please see Technologies for more information on products being developed from these platforms.
